Along with stylish features and an adventurous spirit, the Jeep Renegade is quite efficient. The question is: does it have the fuel economy you need to take on your next adventure in Newell, Weirton, and Salem?

You may already know that the base configuration of this SUV gets an EPA-estimated 22 city/ 30 highway MPG. Here at Hancock County Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, we know that there's more to it than that. Different configurations mean different Jeep Renegade MPG ratings. That's why we've created this guide to help you learn more!

Jeep Renegade Configurations

The Jeep Renegade can be outfitted with one of two engine options. First there's the standard 2.4L Tigershark® MultiAir® 2 engine. It delivers up to 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. When it's partnered up with the standard 9-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, it achieves the base EPA-estimated 22 city/ 30 highway MPG.

You can also opt for the enhanced power of the available 1.3L MultiAir® Turbo engine, which kicks out 177 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. Plus, it's partnered up with the 9-speed automatic transmission which provides you with smooth shifting power and improved efficiency.

If you're looking to add legendary Jeep capability to the Renegade, you could equip one of the available 4x4 systems. Whether you're tackling a slick road or an all-terrain path, they'll give you the control you desire.

Jeep Renegade MPG

Depending on the configuration you choose, the Jeep Renegade MPG may differ. If you choose to pair the standard 2.4L engine to one of the available 4x4 systems, this SUV will achieve an EPA-estimated 21 city/29 highway MPG.

When outfitted with the available 1.3L engine and front-wheel drive, it boasts a boosted EPA-estimated 24 city/32 highway MPG. If you choose to add the capability of a 4x4 system to this engine, the Jeep Renegade will get an EPA-estimated 22 city/27 highway MPG.

To help maximize the MPG rating of the Renegade, the available 1.3L engine comes with Stop/Start Technology. It will shut down the engine while it's not in use, like when you're sitting at a stop light. Best of all, it'll automatically restart when you're ready to get going!
